Plant operations today are faced with ever-increasing pressure to improve
efficiency, quality and productivity. Without making fundamental changes
to their production processes, improvement can usually be made with the
application of advanced control technology. Using modern computer hardware,
software and innovative techniques, application engineers are able to
collect real time and historical data on their processes. Data analysis,
modeling and simulation provide a better understanding of the dynamics
of process behavior. Once the process characteristics are accurately identified,
the options for applying suitable control methodology are no longer limited
to conventional control techniques.
